But while Ms. Lassez might be the most visible person to go public with her struggle she is not, psychics and self-described addicts say, the only one suffering from it. The impulse to consult the paranormal for guidance in life can, like gambling fever, strike people of any level of education, intelligence or social status. It can become a form of faith healing for people suffering anxiety, particularly in professions like acting, where the swings of fortune can be sudden, mystifying and sometimes cruel.
We instinctively know that there is more to our lives and our world beyond that which meets our eyes. This is precisely what development of our sixth sense can lead to! The word clairvoyant comes from the French language – 'clair' meaning 'clear' and 'voyance' meaning 'vision' and essentially means 'clear vision'. This term is used to describe a specific type of psychic experience.
If psychic addiction is a budding epidemic, Ms. Lassez is well out in front of the scientific curve in exploring it, said John W. Welte, a psychologist and senior research scientist at the Research Institute on Addictions at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Welte said he had never heard of any research on the subject or of the subject itself.
Different psychic gifts are useful for different circumstances. It is best to seek clairvoyant readings when you need information about a present situation. These type of readings can help you with current decisions by giving you insight into your circumstances. There are some clairvoyants who can also see into the future, but this is not common. If you need information about the future, you may be better using a different type of psychic.
We use our intuition all the time without realising it, we may even call it 'a gut feeling' but we have all experienced that sense of 'knowing'. It is us however who decide whether or not to develop our gifts further. Commonly, Psychics will tell you that they were 'guided' by spirit or the universe to follow a spiritual path; this is an innate part of who Psychics are. .
Since the eighties, I’ve helped my clients with their questions, issues and problems, so that they can break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. I am here to help my clients achieve a more positive outlook on life through a psychic reading, and provide them with all the psychic guidance necessary to get them there. Let me help you too.
I was 13 when my mom dragged my brother and me to a "psychic." We were visiting family in Malaysia and somewhere amongst a few palm oil plantations was the house of an old woman who claimed to be able to channel Buddha. My mother was enthralled during the hour-long ordeal, during which the woman basically rolled her eyes often so the whites were showing, dropped her voice a few octaves, and made astonishingly mundane statements that could've applied to anyone (examples: our house had ants out front; my grandma was old and having some health problems). Combined with my love of Harry Houdini (who spent the last few years of his life debunking psychics and mediums) and teen angst that made me hate everything my parents liked, the experience left me convinced that psychics were con artists who separated vulnerable and desperate people from their cash in exchange for poor acting.
Over the last 10 years this graduate of New York University, daughter of two computer scientists and otherwise rational adult in her 30's found herself spending more money on the services of tarot readers, palmists, clairvoyants and clairaudients (they hear voices) than some young actors spend on their cars. She paid one woman to read the sediment swirls at the bottom of a cup of Greek coffee.
Allow your psychic to lead the session and answer their questions as simply as possible. There’s no need to run off on tangents or provide supplemental information (this isn’t a psychotherapy session). If you’re worried you haven’t given them a clear enough response, ask if they would like you to go into greater detail but don’t freely offer up more specifics than any given question requires.
These days, when we are buying anything we like to go by word of mouth. Choosing phone psychics when you want to have a psychic reading or picking a reader can be a daunting process. In fact that’s why I started this website because I wanted to draw together the very best psychics and have a space where people could learn and grow for free with free tarot readings and tons of articles on how to develop psychic skills as well as what I have learned along the way that helped me transform my life. I wanted to share my knowledge and that included my knowledge of what a good psychic is.
1. Don’t have a specific agenda. It’s okay to want to know certain things as a result of your psychic session; your psychic will probably allow you to ask questions as well. But if your sole intention for booking a session is to get “the” defining answer to a specific question, you’ll likely end up disappointed. The reason being is that if the psychic is authentic, the information they communicate doesn’t come from them, it comes through them. This means that the psychic has little control over what they are being spiritually guided to convey. You’ll receive what you need, not what you want - which may be two very different things.
When doing the reading over the phone, it is easy to end at any time. Whatever the reason, whether you are feeling uncomfortable or something else comes up, if you need to end the session early you can simply hang up. This puts a lot less pressure on you as compared to getting up and walking out during a face-to-face reading. Plus, during a live reading, you are only charged for the minutes spent speaking to the clairvoyant. Once you hang up, the charges stop.
5. Terminate any session that doesn’t feel right. No reputable psychic will ever predict your death, foretell a tragedy, give you winning lottery numbers or inform you that you have a curse put upon you and your family and that to remove it, you need to return repeatedly. A reputable psychic will also not keep increasing their fee with each visit, or expect that you buy ancillary merchandise from them on a regular basis. Run, don’t walk, from anyone who conducts business with you in a manner that does not feel authentic. On rare occasions, I may be challenged in connecting with a client. In the past ten years, this has happened about four or five times. In those situations, I will stop and ask the client how they’d like to handle it, an option of which may be to end the session at no charge to the client. An inauthentic psychic will bluff their way through for being focused on making a buck.
